☝๐ป️ Sometimes it boils down to ; Do you enjoy it? Can you stick to it? It may be initially you just fear the intensity, so start somewhere! You never know where it may lead to! However, more and more people are digging themselves into a hole with intense strength training bouts and HIIT in an attempt to lose fat whilst preserving muscle. These intense sessions are very taxing on the central nervous system and when coupled with a low calorie diet you can see this strategy will not be sustainable...nor end well! Although the benefits of HIIT are beyond any doubt , just be aware that what is seen as desirable, ie the ability to burn more calories after the HIIT session has ended , it also places greater recovery demands on the body. Recovery is an essential component of the performance equation!
