Liverpool: (Update from the International Beatles Week 2015) This shop (again located at Mathew Street) is almost as old as me. I haven't read about the history of the Cavern Quarter (Mathew Street), but my guess is that the reason behind why so many sculptures and places at this street were established in the early eighties was that there must have raised a strong need a on people to travel (in masses) to the place where The Beatles were born after John Lennon has been shot 😔... My guess is that that created a big wave of Beatle tourism, bigger than before. Because of the legend status they immediately acquired. Traveling back in time to when all of them still lived and had the whole future in front of them.
