Brendan Rodgers says he soon hopes to pair Daniel Sturridge with Christian Benteke – and thinks Liverpool will soon turn their season around. The Liverpool striker has returned to full training following hip surgery and could be included on the bench for Sunday’s clash with Norwich. The 25-year-old returned to Merseyside last month after three months spent working with the medical and sports science staff at the Boston Red Sox and the England man has now returned to full contact training at Melwood. Rodgers, addressing the media ahead of Sunday’s clash at Anfield, said of Sturridge: “On his day, he’s one of the best. He can stretch teams with his pace, and has wonderful variety in finishing. “It’s an exciting dynamic to have both [Christian] Benteke and Sturridge. We’ve been waiting on that. When I play with a striker off the side, he’s not an out and out winger. We know we need to create and score more.” @sportscupboard @thesportscupboard #football #soccer #bayernmunich #fcbayern #gotze #zlatan #cr7 #ucl #barca #neymar #messi #suarez #realmadrid #halamadrid #ronaldo #bale #mufc #juve #juventus #pogba #bvb #reus #championsleague #YNWA #premierleague #liverpool #lfc #sturridge #benteke by sportscupboard
